Steps to take before online pre-registration
Have a digital certificate. We recommend that you obtain idCAT Mobile (seu.cat).
Ask for your RALC or IDALU number at your home school.
On the day of pre-registration, you will receive an email from Monlau containing a link to complete the application. You can do this from home and, once you have finished, we recommend that you email the confirmation to [email protected] so that we can check that everything is correct.
Scoring and criteria for allocating places
Affiliation
All pupils from an affiliated school are guaranteed a place at Monlau. The current affiliated schools are: Verns School and Laia School.
Priority criteria
Brothers or sisters already studying at the same school: 50 points
Geographical proximity to the parent’s usual place of residence or place of work (these scores are not added together):
Permanent address within the school catchment area: 30 points
Parent’s place of work within the school catchment area: 20 points
Usual place of residence outside the school catchment area, but within the same local authority area as the school: 15 points
Usual place of residence outside the school catchment area, but within the city of Barcelona: 10 points
Guaranteed basic income: 15 points
Additional criteria
A family member has a disability (33% or more): 15 points
Parent or guardian at the school: 10 points
Single-parent or large family: 10 points
Children born as part of a multiple birth: 10 points
Pupil in foster care: 10 points
Being a victim of gender-based violence or terrorism: 10 points
Documents required for pre-registration
If you pre-register online, you do NOT need to provide any supporting documents.
In the following cases, you WILL need to provide documentation to prove each situation:
To prove that your usual place of residence is close to the centre, if the address that appears by default on the pre-registration form is not your usual place of residence, you will need to provide a copy of your registration certificate.
To prove that your place of work is nearby, you must provide an employment contract or a certificate issued by your employer. If you are self-employed, you must submit form 036 or 037 from the Tax Agency, stating the address where you carry out your work.
To qualify for the guaranteed income, you will need to provide the decision from the Department of Social Affairs.
If a family member’s disability has been assessed in another autonomous community, you will need to provide the relevant decision.
If the large family or single-parent family card has been issued by another autonomous community, you will need to present the valid card.

Placement
All pupils currently studying at secondary school level at Monlau are guaranteed a place should they wish to continue their studies at sixth form level. This means that, of the initial 70 places, the number available to external pupils will be reduced to 30, depending on the preferences of Monlau’s pupils.
General criteria
Brothers or sisters already studying at the same school: 50 points

Permanent address within the school catchment area: 30 points
Parent’s place of work within the school catchment area: 20 points

Academic record: the average mark from secondary school is included. The score will be updated automatically once the stage is complete. NO CERTIFICATE IS REQUIRED

Single-parent or large family: 10 points
Being a twin or a triplet: 10 points
Foster care situation: 10 points
A family member has a disability (33% or more): 15 points
Status as a victim of gender-based violence or terrorism: 10 points
