Monlau and the Eix Comercial de Sant Andreu promote real-world projects for Marketing and Advertising students

Monlau and Eix Comercial de Sant Andreu

Monlau and the Eix Comercial de Sant Andreu have signed a partnership agreement to bring training even closer to professional reality.

This alliance will allow students of the Advanced VET Programme in Marketing and Advertising to work on the real needs and challenges of establishments linked to the Eix Comercial de Sant Andreu. In this way, students will be able to apply the knowledge acquired in the classroom to projects connected with local commerce.

The agreement also opens the door to new internship, collaboration, and learning opportunities alongside local businesses in the neighbourhood.

A collaboration between the classroom, young talent, and local commerce

The collaboration between Monlau and the Eix Comercial de Sant Andreu was born with a clear idea: to connect training with the professional environment.

Local commerce is a living, close-knit space full of challenges. Each establishment has specific needs in communication, marketing, customer service, digital presence, or commercial promotion.

For students, working on these challenges represents an opportunity to learn through practice. It also allows them to see firsthand how the commercial fabric of Sant Andreu operates and what role marketing can play in the development of a local business.

For businesses, this collaboration represents a way to receive ideas, proposals, and new perspectives from young talent.

Real-world projects for learning by doing

Thanks to this agreement, students will be able to participate in activities linked to challenges posed by the Eix Comercial or by the participating establishments.

These proposals may include communication campaigns, graphic pieces, content, commercial promotion actions, or basic market analysis.

They will also be able to work on aspects such as the shopping experience, digital presence, the customer base, or improvement opportunities for each establishment.

This approach ensures that learning does not remain solely theoretical. Students will be able to face real situations, interpret specific needs, and develop solutions adapted to the context of each business.

Marketing and Advertising at the service of local commerce

Monlau’s Advanced VET Programme in Marketing and Advertising prepares students to analyse markets, design campaigns, create content, work on brand communication, and propose actions oriented towards specific objectives.

With this agreement, these skills can be applied in a real and local environment.

Local commerce needs to communicate, differentiate itself, attract customers, improve its digital presence, and strengthen its relationship with the neighbourhood. In this context, marketing becomes a key tool for providing visibility, generating trust, and connecting better with the community.

Therefore, this collaboration brings together two needs: that of the students, who need real experiences to continue growing, and that of local commerce, which can benefit from new proposals and ideas.

New internship opportunities and professional contact

The collaboration also includes the possibility for establishments linked to the Eix Comercial de Sant Andreu to host students for internships.

This line of work reinforces one of Monlau’s main objectives: to bring Vocational Education and Training closer to the working world.

Internships allow students to experience the day-to-day life of a company, develop professional skills, and gain confidence in real contexts. Furthermore, they help them better understand business needs and the importance of adapting to each client, sector, and environment.

For establishments, hosting students for internships also means coming into contact with young people in training, who are motivated and prepared to provide value from a modern perspective.

An alliance formalised at Monlau Sagrera

The agreement was formalised in the presence of representatives from both entities.

Representing Monlau were Joan Segarra, director of the Monlau Sagrera centre; Montse Barrera, director of External Relations; and David Casanellas, director of the Business and Marketing Area.

Representing the Eix Comercial de Sant Andreu was its president, Pròsper Puig.

This meeting served to consolidate a partnership intended to continue over time and generate useful projects for both students and local commerce.

Monlau and Eix Comercial de Sant Andreu

First contact with the challenges of Sant Andreu commerce

To launch this new collaboration, 2nd-year Marketing and Advertising students have already been able to see the reality of local commerce in Sant Andreu firsthand.

This first contact has allowed for the identification of challenges, opportunities, and real needs within the neighbourhood’s commercial fabric.

From here, students will be able to work on proposals connected to the environment, applying marketing, communication, and commercial analysis tools.

These types of experiences help students better understand the impact of their work and the importance of designing realistic, useful solutions adapted to each business.

Training connected to the professional environment

At Monlau, we believe that Vocational Education and Training must be connected to the real world.

For this reason, agreements such as the one signed with the Eix Comercial de Sant Andreu are an opportunity to continue promoting practical training that is local and aligned with the needs of the environment.

Collaboration between educational centres and local entities allows for the creation of more meaningful learning experiences. It also contributes to strengthening the link between young talent, companies, and the community.

A project connecting talent, commerce, and the future

The agreement between Monlau and the Eix Comercial de Sant Andreu represents a commitment to practical learning, local commerce, and young talent.

Through this collaboration, students will be able to apply their knowledge to real-world projects. Establishments will be able to access new ideas and proposals. And the neighbourhood will benefit from a closer relationship between training and the commercial fabric.

An alliance that connects the classroom, young talent, and local commerce to continue building opportunities.
