Once again, Monlau has taken part in the Solidarity Hot Chocolate Event, an initiative organised by Hospital Sant Joan de Déu Barcelona. In 2026, the event celebrated its 9th edition with the aim of supporting childhood cancer research.

Thanks to the participation of ESO and Baccalaureate students, together with the involvement of the whole educational community, €406 were raised. All the money collected will go towards supporting new research projects and helping to develop more effective treatments for children living with this disease.

An initiative that turns every gesture into hope

Over the years, the Solidarity Hot Chocolate Event has become an important initiative that brings together schools, families and organisations with one common goal: helping to advance childhood cancer research.

Behind every cup of hot chocolate, there is much more than a donation.
There is solidarity, commitment and the desire to support a cause that aims to improve the lives of many children and their families.

This initiative shows how small actions, when people come together, can make a real and meaningful difference.

A nationwide solidarity movement

The 9th edition of the Solidarity Hot Chocolate Event has once again shown the power of collective solidarity. This year, more than 645 events were organised across the country, raising a total of €321,400.

The money collected will be fully dedicated to childhood cancer research at Hospital Sant Joan de Déu Barcelona. The aim is to continue developing new treatments, reducing the impact of the disease and creating new opportunities for children affected by cancer.

Educating in values means preparing for the future

At Monlau, education goes beyond the classroom. Initiatives like this give students the opportunity to actively take part in projects that encourage important values such as solidarity, empathy, commitment and social responsibility.

These experiences are an important part of students’ personal growth and help to create a more aware, involved and supportive educational community.

Thank you for making it possible

Finally, Monlau would like to thank everyone who has helped make this initiative possible once again.

Your involvement has contributed to supporting childhood cancer research and has shown that, when we work together, we can make a positive difference in society.
